It's a Girl!

We're having another girl in January! This pic is from 5 weeks ago at our 21 week anatomy ultrasound...sorry to take so long to update. The pic turned out a little fuzzy ~ I think b/c I took a picture of the picture ~ we decided to leave the nursery the same and redo a big girl room for Katelyn! I think she will love it! I'm nervous she may not be quite ready for the big girl bed, but I guess we will know soon enough:) We are very excited to give Katelyn a sister. She likes to look at my belly at least once a day, rub it, kiss it, and says "Ah the baby." Recently I asked her if the baby could come live with us soon? She thought about it a second and simply said, "No Mommy." To be continued...

Work has been busy at the hospital. We have already seen a massive round of swine flu move through this past August- early Sept....all the kids pulled through and relatively few staff were sick. This is a scary virus, but I am on the fence about getting the swine flu vaccine...I just don't feel good about it. Other news: Brandon started his new job this week as an IT director at Halpern's! This is a company based in Atlanta, and they are responsible for supplying about 85% of Atlanta's restaurants serving seafood/steaks with their surf and turf supply (yummy!) He will be helping run the IT department. He says things are a little unorganized, but so far he is liking it....the first couple of weeks are always a little weird in a new place. But he comes home with a smile on his face so that's all that matters!

Katelyn is doing wonderful! She's so funny and has such a big personality! The last couple of weeks she has been really aware of peeing in the diaper, pooping in the diaper, the diaper is too tight, sticking her hands down the front and back of the diaper ~ may be time for panties soon? She asks to sit on the potty sometimes, but she really just likes to play with the toilet paper and flush the toilet a gazillion times in a row saying "bye bye water" as I re-roll the toilet paper. I say No no, and she takes off giggling and running with a naked hiny. She LOVES shoes! She picks out my shoes for the day, and she likes to put shoes on with her pajamas first thing in the morning. She generally despises shopping b/c she is cooped up in the stroller, but if we're in the shoe department, she just says "mommy shoes, ewwwww cooool! Ma, ma, mom look shoes!" It's a girl thang for sure!
